Spring Scouting & Shed hunting Program
When a client has booked his/her hunt with the required Non refundable deposit for their hunt. Those
hunters will then able to activate their scheduled hunt with a Pre Hunt Scouting & Shed hunting trip.
This program allows the hunter to come out in the spring to prescout their assigned property/properties
that they will be returning to hunt during the followning hunting season. The
best times for this trip will
be late February to early March
as this will also be a great time to look for shed antlers as well. Clients
will be able to pre scout their hunt area for deer sign that show traditional buck travel patterns, new or
potential stands sites and be able to better understand & study the aerial photo's of the properties for
which they are about to begin hunting that fall. We feel that this allows hunters to gain a better
knowledge and understanding of the property/properties and the whitetails on those properties. This
will give the hunter that extra when they return to hunt in the fall. This program is of no extra charge to
all clients that are already booked with Backwoods Whitetails Outfitters.
Sorry, nonbooked clients will not be permitted to
access the properties.
For those that are lucky enough to find shed antlers, they will be yours to keep. So
remember, when a client confirms their hunt for the next year, with his/her paid deposit, they can then
schedule a weekend to come out and scout their hunting sites. It is mandatory that ALL clients be
accompanied by a BWO guide while scouting their property. For full details, to schedule your spring trip
