Todd is a lifetime resident of Illinois and from a young age he has
been after everything from rabbits to whitetails from. Todd accepted
the position of head guide for Backwoods Whitetails in the summer
of 2009 and has been a major asset for Backwoods Whitetails and its
hunters. With over 20 of years experience in hunting Illinois
whitetails, a strong work ethic, a great eagerness for seeing his
hunters succeed, combined with the needed experience and
credentials that any hunter can count. Hunters can relax in knowing
Todd will always be there with the support needed on their hunts.
Todd is just simply one of those guys that can never get enough
time in the woods. Todd takes his time afield seriously to spend
every second in the woods thinking about improvements that can be
made to help better the future hunting. Each year Todd will log
several hours of free time shed hunting from the late winter all the
way into the late spring. The entire time he hunting for last years
antlers will constantly be scouting old rub & scrape lines, looking for
new places for hanging stands and putting together a plan for
planting food plots. He helps with the placement and bimonthly
running of all the Backwoods Whitetails trail cams throughout the
summer and is fully aware of what is always running around the area.
As the hunting season nears, Todd will spend as much time as he
can with final stand preparations, food plot maintenance and
glassing for whitetail bucks. Bottom line, Todd puts forth 210% as
your guide. He will work as hard as he can and is eager to make sure
that each of his hunters needs will be met while hunting with
Backwoods Whitetails. So when arrive in camp to meet Todd Keeler
and hear him say "I'll be your guide for the week"........ you can relax
and know that you got the right man for the job of working for you!
