Twin Bridges Guide
Brett Homer
This farm is more than it looks. Located
right in the edge of town hunters tend to
over look it's 160 acres of big buck
potential. As a matter of fact, this spot
during the peak rut is "DYNAMITE!". In
2006 Backwoods Whitetails Head Guide
Brett Homer hunted a bordering property
to the north and recorded seeing over 8
different bucks ( 2 that were of a trophy
class) and several does and fawns. The
only food source here is corn & soybeans
and browse. It is all bedding a THICK and
GRASSY bedding area and as you can
imagine, the bucks come in and out all
day long. There have been two bucks
taken from this property in the last two
years that were 140 plus inches. Hunters
have reported having up to 16 deer
around them at one time. This is truly a
Honey Hole that is a convenient spot to
kill an Illinois Monster and proof that
dynamite does come in small packages!
